Christmas Tree of Angels 2021
Again, this year has been a particularly challenging one because of the pandemic. Due to the uncertainty around vaccinations and restrictions, the VOCAL Board has elected not to hold the event this year.
We hope to be able to have the event in November 2022 and wish you a safe and healthy Christmas and New Year.
COVID 19 update: June 2020.
Currently we are unsure whether our annual event will be held this year. The restrictions placed on Churches and Halls state that organised events must not have more than 20 participants, and adhere to one person per 4 square meters. The VOCAL Board will make a final decision in August, and we thank you for your patience and understanding.
Christmas can be a difficult time for people whose lives have been changed by crime and life tragedies. In our annual ceremony, we invite all survivors, family and friends to place a special angel ornament on our Christmas Tree to honour and reflect on lives lost and changed by crime and trauma.
Location: St John’s Anglican Church
Darby and Parry St, Cooks Hill, Newcastle.
Light afternoon tea (optional) following the ceremony: $10
If your Angel has stayed with us since last year’s event, they will be waiting for you to collect from 1.30pm onwards, inside the Church Hall.
For first time guests, please either bring your own small angel ornament (preferably non glass) or you can purchase one at the venue.
RSVP to ensure your Angel’s name is on our honour roll or register via phone or email.
